“In the mirror, we are in charge, for we choose what to see. But what we see is what we get, and sometimes we let it slip. Consciousness plays tricks, the brain gambles, and the heart stumbles.
We search for the stranger, never the intimate. Less prejudice widens the sight of what’s beneath, behind, left, right, hidden, exposed; details of a life unconsciously being undressed. The viewer sees. How many years have elapsed since the last time? Disclosing one move after the next, all that it was, and now forgotten. Questions floating, answers stretched on the floor, against a wall, on a stool. Not enough, not in full.
’Edgy’ is a word appearing in the corner of the mind. Should we control? Should we let go? Should we think it over? Should we explore? Should we go as deep as we planned to? Uncertainty is a key word for a game too short for the time announced. Time is a break on a line we’d love to be continuous. Restraining does not rhyme with privacy, but it surely helps in keeping one’s own borders at bay. The viewer is not the mirror, but I wonder if we have the power to manipulate what one might see, want to see, choose to see. The viewer is not the mirror, but maybe reality has too many sides, all of which carry some truth. The viewer has seen what he had time and will to dig. And ‘enough’ is just another word that draws a line until the next time”
