“A few hours in a dimly lit hotel in South Central Texas. The heat was stifling that time of year, and I remember hearing a marching band practicing somewhere in the building.
Emmaline and I wanted to connect while I was in town for a commercial shoot and originally had larger plans for our collaboration, but due to my shoot running longer than expected, we lost sunlight completely and had to pivot indoors instead of shooting outside like we planned. The room had maybe three lamps, so in the few hours we shot, I relied on those lights, my flash, and pushing the film in development.”
